The 15th Avenue Church of God affectionately known at "The Ave" is a warm friendly community of believers located only 4 miles west of Fort Lauderdale Beach. Our church family is a diverse group worshipers of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. As a church we have a rich history that spans more than 65 years. We are also connected to the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana.
Rev. Baron C. Mashack and his beautiful wife, Denise Mashack (affectionally knows as "Pastor B" and "Lady D") are natives of New York City. They have been married for 31 years, have 3 children, and are still madly in love!
Pastor Baron C. Mashack
Pastor B has been in ministry for the Lord for over 30 years! Known for his passionate preaching and practical teaching, Pastor B's desire for making the gospel clear and relevant without compromise is reflected in his pastoral style, community involvement, and social media evangelism. A man of integrity and great love for the lost, he seeks to make the 15th Avenue Church of God a place were all people can connect with God in a meaningful way. After a successful leadership career in the technology field, God called him and his beautiful family to the city of Fort Lauderdale where they are impacting the city, state and nation for Christ!
Lady Denise Mashack
Full of goodness and grace, Lady D, is the heartbeat of "The Ave". Even as she leads our Transformers Children's Ministry, her love for people, especially children, is what makes our church the warm place that it is. Whether she is counseling or encouraging, Lady D stands alongside Pastor B shepherding the precious people of God.
Our vision is to worship God passionately, love people tangibly, and to win the world intentionally, for the purpose of fulfilling his Kingdom mandate of changing lives in our city and beyond through the gospel of Jesus Christ!
(Based on Mark 12:30-31 and Matthew 28:19-20)
The Bible - We believe that biblical scripture is the inspired Word of God and is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine.
Salvation - Jesus Christ is the only source of salvation, forgiveness, and atonement for sin. By putting faith and trust in the finished work of Jesus, a person is put in right relationship with God.
Baptism - Following the example of Jesus, we believe that water baptism by immersion is an outward symbol of an inward reality, which demonstrates one’s spiritual death, burial and resurrection to a new life in Christ.
Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is God’s gift to the church and the primary source of power in the life of the believer. We believe that every believer’s life should show evidence of both the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Trinity - There is one God expressed in 3 distinct persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
The Return - We believe in the second coming of Christ to ransom his church and judge the world. We believe the righteous (those who put their faith and trust in Jesus) will receive their reward, but the wicked will be punished.
